Did You Know?

It is the law to travel 60 km/hour when passing R.M. operators on equipment - When passing R.M. equipment, it is no different than passing highway workers or going through a construction zone. The R.M. equipment has the right of way. When passing a grader operator at high speeds, it is possible to throw stones which can cause cracked windshields creating an unsafe driving condition. Equipment operators may not always see you approaching so please slow down and keep everyone safe.

Pest Control Officer  - If you having issues with pests like mice or rats, contact our Pest Control Officer Terry Barnes at 306-483-7714. He will come to your location, investigate the issue and help out with necessary products.

Beaver Bounty - The R.M. of Antler offers a Beaver Bounty of $50.00 per tail.

A South Saskatchewan Fur License must be obtained through the Government of Saskatchewan.

https://www.saskatchewanhal.ca/licensing.page .

Bring a copy of your license to the R.M. office.

Document the locations each beaver was trapped and record it on this form (click here).

Contact the R.M. Foreman to schedule your drop off time and location.

We ask that all tails collected over the year are turned in by February 1 of each year to allow the R.M. Office Staff the time required to gather the information and submit for the available grant.

R.M. Road Allowance Concerns - Please DO NOT dump your rocks in the R.M. road allowance, this causes unnecessary damages to the equipment, especially the mowers.

Fences MUST be placed on the property line NOT in the R.M. road allowance.  A fence that is in a road allowance is a safety concern for all our ratepayers.  With all farm equipment getting larger, it is difficult to  travel down the road due to fence posts obstructing them from passing.

Noxious Weeds - If you see these weeds in the R.M. Road Allowance / R.M. ditch, do not touch them. Please contact the R.M. office at (306) 452-3263 with a land location or description where the weed is located so we can send the R.M. appointed weed inspector to properly treat the area.

Civic Address Registry - Civic Address Registry is a province-wide standardized system used to identify and locate properties by establishing unique access point locations. It assists emergency responders in quickly finding homes and businesses during emergencies. The R.M. of Antler is in the beginning stages of this process and will be working on getting every residence within the R.M. of Antler their own unique address.  This is a lengthy process that can take two years or more to complete. Stay tuned for more updates as we work through this process!

Hay Salvage Policy has been repealed - It has come to Council’s attention that the Hay Salvage Policy was not followed properly. In the past, the office staff had calls from frustrated ratepayers because they had planned to do hay salvage but neglected to report to the R.M Office and as a result the area was mowed.  Instances have also occurred that hay salvage was requested but never actually completed so mower operators had to go back to clean up the area wasting time and fuel. After lengthy discussions, Council decided to repeal the Hay Salvage Policy.
