Dust Control

The R.M. of Antler hires a company to complete Dust Control services every year.  Council reviews quotes that are provided and a resolution is made as to who will be hired for that particular year.

Ratepayers wishing to have dust control applied to a gravel road must read the dust control policy and sign the attached agreement. We ask to have all the required information submitted and agreements signed by April 30 each year. 

 

Once the dust control is applied, the R.M. of Antler maintenance crew does not grade over the applied product unless absolutely necessary. For example to smooth washboards or a hole has developed.

​The R.M. of Antler does not financially contribute to the dust control product but our maintenance crew does take extra time in preparing the site before hand. 

 

Once all the locations are completed, an invoice will be sent to those who received the dust control. The price for dust control is calculated on a per litre basis so ratepayers are charged for the number of litres applied to the road.
